Cherokee Boys wasted no time showing they are built different this season. From the opening tip they played with pace, confidence, and the type of chemistry you only see from a group that has been locked in all offseason. Aiden Evans and Braylon Luster looked like one of the most explosive scoring duos in the state right out the gate.
Evans dropped 28 points and did it in every way possible. Pull ups, tough finishes, catch and shoot, all three levels were on display. His rhythm never broke and he played the entire night like a player who knew exactly what shots he wanted and how to get to them.
Luster matched the energy with 26 points of his own and stayed in attack mode all game. He kept pressure on the defense every trip down the floor, pushing the pace, getting downhill, and making defenders uncomfortable with his physicality and motor. When Evans and Luster get going at the same time it feels like wave after wave of buckets.
Their chemistry already looks elite and their scoring firepower will be tough for any team to contain as the season goes on. Cherokee Boys look ready to make noise.
