The final game of Tournament of Champions Holiday Classic featured two of the Nation's highest ranked players Ace Bailey and Caleb Wilson. Both players showed glimpses of why they are two of the nation's best talent, however McEachern's 7A talent was to much for 4A Holy Innocents to overcome.  McEachern won 80-57
Ace Bailey 2024 I 6'9" F I McEachern
Ace Bailey didn't have his best showing scoring the ball, but he still made a huge impact before getting in foul trouble. On the defensive end he was able to limit Caleb Wilson. He played in the passing lane forcing turnovers and he protected the rim. His on ball defense was good at not getting beat off the dribble.Â
On the offensive side he just moved the ball and trusted his teammates. Holy Innocents played a zone the majority of the game so instead of forcing things, Bailey just continued to make the right basketball play.
Caleb Wilson 2025 I 6'9" F I Holy Innocents
Caleb Wilson moved well without the ball and he showed he isn't scared of the moment. When he couldn't use his dribble to beat Bailey and his jump shot wasn't falling, he started to pass and cut to get easy buckets. Then he started cutting back door while his defender was in help. Wilson's game picked up in transition. Wilson finished with 21 pts and 11 rebounds.Â
Devin Hutcherson 2026 I 6'4" G/W I Holy Innocents
Devin Hutcherson is the glue of this Holy Innocents team. He plays hard and does anything needed to help his team. Hutcherson is a strong finisher around the rim and rebounder. He finished with 17pts.
Jaye Nash 2024 I 6'2' G I McEachern
Nash is a guard who doesn't over dribble. He used his dribble to create for his teammates or himself. He is good at getting downhill and either finding open teammates or finishing. Nash also shot the ball well from deep. Nash holds a number of D-1 offers. He do finished the game with 20 pts. Â
